The Hyack International Parade is one of the largest parades in the Vancouver metro area. Westminster is a historic city that used to be the capital of the province of British Columbia.

Over one hundred groups participated in the parade. Among them were government officials, veterans, CTV, public transportation staff, and ethnic groups such as Irish, Indian and Bangladeshi. There were also groups from Seattle and Portland in the United States.

The Falun Dafa procession was composed of the Divine Land Marching Band, celestial maiden dancers, waist drummers and a decorated float. The spectators gave them warm applause and cheers. The Divine Land Marching Band performed “Falun Dafa is good”, “Drums and Trumpets Shake the World in Ten Directions” and “The Maple Leaf Forever”. When the Falun Dafa entry was passing the main stage, the host said it was a remarkable group: “Let's welcome Falun Dafa”.

Spectator Maria liked the colorful Falun Dafa group. She liked the waist drum performance most since it had the most energy. She said she knew about Falun Dafa.

Henry's family is of Chinese descent from Peru. He praised the Falun Dafa entry as “very exciting”.
