On April 10th, 2012, Falun Gong practitioner Yuan Jieling from Gaozhou, Guangdong Province was taken from her home by government and police staff.
Ms. Yuan Jieling was born in June 1954, and began practising Falun Gong in 1998. She was weak and suffered from numerous diseases in the past, however, after following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, she quickly became healthy.
On April 10th, 2012, Ms. Yuan was taken from her home by staff from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong), Lai Hong (female) of the Judiciary Committee, Li Jian ( female) from the Domestic Security Division, local policeman Su and an unnamed male.
The CCP has been persecuting Falun Gong since July 20th, 1999. Ms. Yuan was previously arrested on numerous occasions. She was given an extreme seven-year prison sentence in 2000 by the Gaozhou Court and held in Guangdong Province Women's Prison. She was released in December 2007. She has been arrested several times since 2008, and continuously harassed by CCP staff with phone calls and home visits. Ms. Yuan was also subjected to persecution in brainwashing centres.
She is currently being held in the Maomin Brainwashing Centre. This facility is also called the “Legal Education School.”
