Practitioners Persecuted in Beijing Women's Forced Labour Camp

Several Falun Gong practitioners from Huairou County in Beijing are detained in Beijing Women's Forced Labour Camp and are being persecuted. Among them, Ms. Wen Yuhong and Ms. Sun Guiqing are in very bad physical condition and have been transferred to the first division of the labour camp. They are being force-fed unknown drugs each day. Wen's eyesight has deteriorated and she can't see clearly up-close. She is struggling to walk and her entire body is in pain.

Ms. Wen Yuhong from Huanghua Township in Huairou, and Ms. Sun Guiqing from Qiaozi Township in Huairou were both seized by police on November 17th, 2011. Also arrested that day were practitioners Jia Cuihuan, Shi Lianhong, Shen Yueqian, Wang Baohua, Wang Yalan, and others. Ms. Wen was subsequently sentenced to two and a half years of forced labour and taken to (Tiantanghe) Beijing Women's Forced Labour Camp in Daxin County. Mr. Shen Yueqian is now in the Fourth Division. He is forced to sit on a stool every day from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and is very haggard due to the torture. He is very emaciated now and appears to be disoriented.

Ms. Wen Yuhong sells tofu to support her family. She remained steadfast in practising Falun Gong despite being persecuted many times. As early as 2004 to 2008 she was persecuted at Beijing Women's Prison. During that time she became disabled from being tortured. Her legs were paralyzed and she had to be carried down stairs and to the restroom. Even though Ms. Wen was in such poor physical condition, guards Tian Fengqin and Zheng Yumei would not stop tormenting her. They ordered Li Xiaomei and Liu Xiuqin to work together and try to “reform” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong] her. Li Xiaomei and Liu Xiuqin grabbed Ms. Wen's head and slammed it into a table. They also kicked her paralyzed legs.

After returning home in 2008, through studying the Fa and doing the exercises, Ms. Wen Yuhong not only recovered but also resumed doing the housework and financially supporting her whole family. She makes and sells tofu every day to pay her daughter's school tuition.

Ms. Wen Yuhong has been arrested again and taken to the forced labour camp in Daxin. We are raising awareness so everyone will know about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners from Huairou and help rescue them.
