Around 7:00 p.m. on November 17th, many Beijing practitioners were arrested. To lure the practitioners outside, the officers switched off their electricity. At this time we know that seven practitioners were arrested and their homes ransacked.

Mr. Hou Yongchun, a practitioner from Haidian District of Beijing, was taken to a detention centre. However, he was not accepted by the detention centre because of high blood pressure. The police released him and he has returned home.

Ms. Guo Yulan, 67 years old, is a retired teacher of Beijing Normal University and resides in the Changping District of Beijing. She was arrested and police ransacked her home.

Practitioners from Chaoyang District, Beijing that were arrested that same night are Ms. Sun Jinxia, Mr. Li Wanqing and Ms. Ma from Weigou; Ms. Yang from Huajiadi; and a practitioner from nearby Yiheyuan.

Many practitioners that had not been at home went into hiding that night.

At this time, this is all the information available to us about practitioners that were arrested that night.
