Over the past three months, officers from the Changping District Police Department and the Dongxiaokou Police Station have arrested at least 16 practitioners from the Tiantongyuan community on four subsequent arrests. The officers who participated in the arrests did not wear police uniforms or park their police cars nearby. They threatened the arrested practitioners with forced labour sentences.

On June 30th, 2011, Ms. Mei Xuehong was reported by the Tiantong Tail Goods Market Management personnel while selling her goods. She was arrested by officers from the Changping District Police Department. The Procuratorate is prepared to issue a lawsuit against her.

On July 4th, Ms. Yang Xiuqin, Ms. Wang Shuhua, and two other elderly practitioners were arrested in the Second Quarter of West Tiantongyuan community.

On September 15th, Mr. Li Min and his wife Ms. Liu Qing, who live in the First Quarter of West Tiantongyuan community, were arrested.

On October 23rd, the police arrested at least nine practitioners in the Second Quarter of West Tiantongyuan community. The arrested practitioners include: Mr. Feng Qingdong, a Reuters employee; Mr. Song Zhao, an employee at a foreign investment enterprise; Ms. Sun Lixin, a painter; Ms. Yao Yuanying, a phD student; Ms. Chang Chunyu, Mr. Li Ziming, Mr. Guo Longbin, and two practitioners from Shandong Province.

To this day, there are a total of 16 practitioners who are known to have been arrested. If there are any other practitioners known to have gone missing during this period, please check with the Changping Police Department.

All the arrested practitioners are being held at the Changping Detention Centre located in the town of Liucun. The police have refused to let the practitioners meet with either their families or their attorneys. They have threatened to revoke the licence of any attorney who accepts a practitioner's case. They have also declared that all arrested practitioners will be punished with forced labour sentences.

For many years, the Changping District Police Department and the Dongxiaokou Police Station have collaborated with the Community Committee and the Shuntiantong Property Company to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
