Jing County Teacher Mr. Liu Jinqiang and his Wife Arrested--Their Home Ransacked by Police

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Jinqiang drove a three-wheeled motorcycle with his wife, Ms. Wang Jing, and their friend, Ms. Zhao Jinrui, into Dezhou City to go shopping on September 20th, 2011. When they were on their way home after shopping, they were followed by four police vehicles from the Domestic Security Division, Police Department, Decheng District, Dezhou City and stopped at the west of Mengzhuang, Wangqiansi Town, Jing County. Many plainclothes police officers got out of the four vehicles and forcibly took Mr. Liu Jinqiang, Ms. Wang Jing, and Ms. Zhao Jinrui to their vehicles.

A villager who witnessed the incident said, “Mr. Liu Jinqiang ran a few steps but he was caught and then handcuffed by the police. The police also pulled Ms. Wang Jing from the three-wheeled motorcycle by the head and dragged her into a vehicle.” Ms. Wang is detained in the Dezhou Detention Centre. The police also confiscated what they had just purchased in Dezhou City, which cost over ten thousand yuan¹.

At around 9:30 a.m. on September 21st, Ge Yong from the Wangqiansi Town Government, Li Guisheng, director of the domestic security division, Zheng Jianhua from the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) and others asked village Communist Party secretary Liu Shulin to lead them to Mr. Liu Jinqiang's home. Mr. Liu's son didn't open the door so they tried to push it open. The child was very afraid, and said, “I am home alone so I won't open the door for you unless I see my aunt-in-law and my grandmother.” After his aunt-in-law arrived, Mr. Liu's son still didn't open the door. He told them that he wouldn't open the door without seeing his grandmother.

Three officials jumped over the wall, held the boy, and then opened the door. They broke into Mr. Liu and his wife's place located on the south side. After they broke into the house located on the east side, Mr. Liu's sister-in-law shouted, “You aren't allowed to search my home. You all leave now! This is my home!” They all left the house, and someone made a phone call to the Wangqiansi Town Police Station. Later some police officers arrived. However, Ms. Liu's sister-in-law still shouted in protest. The officers from the Wangqiansi Town Police Station didn't take any action, but they made a call to the Domestic Security Division.

About eighteen officers from the domestic security division, including the director, arrived at Mr. Liu's home with tear gas, electric batons and other weapons in their hands. More than twenty people had their homes illegally searched. The police confiscated the family's two laptop computers, a machine for their business, and other family belongings which were worth about three thousand yuan.

Mr. Liu Jinqiang had in the past been very weak, and often had fevers and diarrhoea. Once when he was in middle school he had a fever of 40-degrees Celsius (104° F). He was kept at school mainly by IV infusions. After he started practising Falun Gong, however, his diseases all disappeared and he became strong. His moral standard also improved. He is a well-known and respected teacher in his school. When the school reorganised the classes, most of the students chose his class, so he had more students than other teachers. He has conducted himself according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and has treated his students as his own children, and taught them to be outstanding, with high moral standards.

Mr. Liu's wife, Ms. Wang Jing, had suffered heart inflammation for twelve years before she started practising Falun Gong. After she started practising, she became healthy and younger looking in appearance. Her moral standard also improved tremendously. She treats her neighbours and friends with kindness and takes good care of her mother-in-law and father-in-law. Many people started to practice Falun Gong after seeing the changes in her.
