The Wucheng District Court in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, sentenced three female practitioners for practising Falun Gong and telling others the facts about the persecution. The practitioners are appealing to the middle court.

The Domestic Security Division of the Wucheng District Police Department arrested Ms. Bao Xiaomei, Ms. Jin Peizhen, and Ms. Zhang Wanfei in 2010. The Wucheng District Procuratorate subsequently pressed charges on September 30th, 2010. The Wucheng District Court held trials on October 12th and 26th, 2010, and sentenced them on March 31st, 2011.

Ms. Bao Xiaomei, 74, was arrested on June 25th, 2010. The deputy director of the Domestic Security Division, Ding Liming, led eight or nine officers to break into her home, seize her property: a computer, two printers, two all-in-one printers, a DVD player, a paper-cutting machine, a paper seal machine, two copies of Zhuan Falun and other Falun Gong books. They also took her keys, resident identification card, certificate of retirement, and two bank deposit books.

The officers held her in the Qiyi Farm Brainwashing Camp from June 25th to August 7th, 2010. During that time, agents from the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) and officers from the Domestic Security Division repeatedly ransacked her home. The court sentenced Ms. Bao to seven years in prison. The chief judge was Lai Zhanghong. Ms. Bao has appealed to the higher court and was released pending trial.

In addition, the officers are withholding Ms. Bao's pension card, certificate of retirement, and resident ID, making her life miserable.

Ms. Jin Peizhen, 72, was arrested around 10:00 a.m. on July 2nd, 2010, by more than a dozen officers, including Ding Liming from the domestic security division. Without showing any permit or leaving a record of seizure, they seized her computer, Falun Gong books and materials, and bank deposit books.

More than ten officers took turns interrogating her in the Chengbei Police Station. The interrogation lasted 15 hours, from noon on July 2nd until 3:30 a.m. on July 3rd. When they did not get what they wanted, the officers put unknown drugs into water and forced her to drink it. Ms. Jin then felt dizzy and weak. She signed a forged confession statement when she was confused. After they obtained her signature, the officer called her son to take her home. They interrogated her many times afterward. They pressed charges against her using forged statements. Judge Lai sentenced her to three years in prison. Ms. Jin has appealed to the higher court and was released pending trial.

Ms. Jin asked Ding Liming to return her bank books. Ding first denied he had taken them, but had to return them three days later.

Ms. Zhang Wanfei, 67, was arrested on August 24th, 2010, and was sentenced to four years in prison.
She is now in the Jinhua City Detention Centre.
