Ms. Yu Aihua, Mr. Lu Xianfeng and Mr. Li Manting are Falun Gong practitioners from Yushu City, Jilin Province who are incarcerated in the Xinglongshan Brainwashing Centre in Changchun City. Mr. Lu and Mr. Li were directly taken to the brainwashing facility after having already served prison terms.

On July 4th, 2011, the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) in Yushu City, the Domestic Security Team, the 610 Office in Xinli Town and local police officers arrested Ms. Yu Aihua, who is originally from Fu'an Township. They subjected her to brainwashing in an attempt to make her renounce Falun Gong. On July 26th, they transferred Ms. Yu to the Xinglongshan Brainwashing Centre, where they continued their coercion attempts on her.

Mr. Lu Xianfeng, a Falun Gong practitioner from Sihe Town, Yushu City, was directly transferred to Xinglongshan Brainwashing Centre after he finished serving four years in Shiling Prison in Siping City for practising Falun Gong. At around 7 a.m. on August 9th, 2011, his family arrived at the prison to pick him up. They were told to wait. They waited for 3 hours and Lu was still not released. Finally, a prison guard announced that he had already been transferred to the Xinglongshan Brainwashing Centre.

Mr. Li Manting, 68, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Yushu City. To expose the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) lies about Falun Gong, he had been handing out materials containing important facts about Falun Gong. On the evening of September 3rd, 2008, Mr. Li was arrested when he was distributing materials. The police from Yujia Police Station transferred him to the Domestic Security Division of the Yushu City Police Department. After 6 months of incarceration in a local detention centre, Mr. Li was transferred to Shiling Prison in Siping City, Jilin Province. After three years in prison, Mr. Li was directly transferred to the Xinglong Brainwashing Centre.

In the early morning of September 3rd, 2011, Mr. Li's family arrived at the prison to pick him up. At around 8 a.m. a prison guard collected a fresh change of clothes from his family and told them that Mr. Li would be released at around 11 a.m. They waited. At 11 a.m., his family had to inquire again only to be told this time that Mr. Li would not be released until 1 p.m. At 1 p.m., his family was told that the 610 Office in Yushu City had already picked him up. Mr. Li's family had to seek help from their personal connections to find out he had been taken to the Xinglongshan Brainwashing Centre.

At the Xinglongshan Brainwashing Centre, Falun Gong practitioners are forced to watch video programmes containing hate propaganda against Falun Gong. They are frequently made to listen to hate speeches made by people who have given into the CCP's suppression and renounced Falun Gong. They are frequently threatened with having their salaries or wages suspended and have to serve prison terms unless they renounce Falun Gong. If they refuse to give up their belief in Falun Gong, their family will not be granted visitations. Shen Quanhong is one of the most notorious "disciplinary staff" member there.
