Ms. Lu Suning from Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province Sent to Brainwashing Centre, Her Daughter Left Without Care

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lu Suning, who works at Minsheng Pharmaceutical Group in Hangzhou City, was arrested at her workplace and sent to the Hangzhou Brainwashing Centre by agents from the Hangzhou 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong). Her eight-year-old daughter was left alone, with no one to care for her.

Last month, the security department officers of Minsheng Pharmaceutical Group followed orders from Politics and Law Committees and 610 Offices in Hangzhou and Xihu District, and kept insisting that Ms. Lu go to a brainwashing session. If she refused, she would be detained at the brainwashing centre and would be forced to bear all the costs.

Ms. Lu refused to go, and this was reported to the Hangzhou 610 Office by the security department head in late August. The 610 Office agents subsequently went to Ms. Lu’s workplace, arrested her, and sent her to the Hangzhou Brainwashing Centre around September 1st.

Ms. Lu just moved to Hangzhou from Guilin City, Guangxi Province, so she doesn’t have relatives or friends in Hangzhou. After she was arrested, her eight-year-old daughter was left all alone, without anyone to care for her. Ms. Lu’s husband died as a result of the persecution he suffered at the hands of China's communist regime. Her parents live in Shanghai; her parents-in-law live in Fenghua City, Zhejiang Province.
