Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Yin Sufang and Ms. Tong Huishan, two senior women from Chongqing, were arrested by the police for their practice of and exposing the persecution of Falun Gong, and their homes were ransacked. Ms. Tong was forced to flee her home and become homeless. Ms. Yin was injected with unknown drugs at a hospital, against her will.

Practitioners Yin Sufang and Tong Huishan were followed on the morning of April 11th, 2011, and arrested after 8:00 a.m. in a remote area near the back gate of a local power plant factory. They were taken to the Yuqingsi Police Station and their homes were ransacked the same day. Several officials, led by Jin Rui, confiscated all Falun Gong books, video discs, MP3 players, and other personal belongings from Ms. Yin's home. Six officials led by Li and Zhang broke into Ms. Tong's home and confiscated all of her Falun Gong books, video discs, an MP3 player, an MP5 player, three personal computers, and other personal belongings, which have not been returned. Ms. Yin was sentenced to one year of imprisonment, which was executed outside of the prison. Ms. Tong was released on bail awaiting trial in one year.

On June 15th, Ms. Tong was taken by officials from the Shapingba District 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) to a brainwashing centre in Qianzigou of Gele Mountain. Her legs were too swollen to walk on her own, as a result of her previously being maltreated. Ms. Tong did not pass the health examination and authorities of the brainwashing center refused to accept her. After she was released to return home, personnel from the 610 Office frequented her home and pressured her to write the three statements. Under this circumstance, Ms. Tong was forced to leave home and her whereabouts are currently unknown. How can a 65 year old homeless woman survive the unbearable summer heat in Chongqing? The temperature is as high as 39 degrees Celsius (102°F) indoors and 50 degrees (122°F) outdoors.

At around noon on June 19th, Liu Gaoneng, head of the Banshanyi Village Neighbourhood Committee, and Jiang Lijun, an official from the 610 Office, together with a group of thugs from the power plant factory, forcibly took Ms. Yin to the factory hospital, where she was injected intravenously for one week. She had previously been subjected to various maltreatment by authorities, and sometimes was followed by plainclothes personnel. One of her eyes has now gone blind and she is still being IV injected with unknown drugs.

Perpetrators:

Liu Gaoneng, head of the Banshanyi Village neighbourhood committee
Jiang Lijun, 610 Office official
Wen Jie, 610 Office official
Yin Dingguo, Li Xuebing, Jin Rui, Yang, Li, Zhang, Feng
