Between 5-8 a.m. on August 30th, 2011, officers from Qixia City Police Department, 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong), Domestic Security Division and local police stations arrested 11 practitioners from the city and surrounding areas, in some cases ransacking their homes. Among the 11 arrested, one elderly practitioner was released that same day, while another practitioner presumed to be arrested is still missing.

On August 24th, 2011, Chen Jiuben, Liujiagou Village Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Secretary in Sikou Town, led police from Sikou Town Station to practitioner Mr. Liu Xuexian's home. They said they went to check his tractor's licence plates, but in fact they were learning the roads to his home.

At breakfast time on August 30th, CCP Secretary Chen Jiuben led police to the home of Mr. Liu Lebing (Mr. Liu Xuexian's son). They arrested him and ransacked his home. They took all Falun Gong books, a computer, a mobile phone, a DVD, a hand bag with 2,000 yuan1 cash in it, and other personal possessions. They also took Mr. Liu Xuexian to the police station, interrogated him and then released him around 1 p.m. His son Liu Lebing is still in custody in the station.

At a little past 7 a.m. on August 30th, Mr. Lin Guojun and his wife Li Ximin (both practitioners who live in the city) went downstairs. They were arrested by around eight plainclothes police waiting for them. The police broke open their garage, took one of their cars, a printer, all Falun Gong books, and four computers (including two of their children's, who are not practitioners). They then went to the couple's grain storage area and seized around ten cases of Falun Gong books and other possessions. The ransacking took place without any of their family present. The police drove unmarked cars to remain unobtrusive.

Ms. Lin Fuxiu, another practitioner in the city, was arrested and had two of her computers taken away by a local police officer by the name of Xie Guangwu.

Practitioner Ms. Yang Cuiying also lives in the city. She went out at around 7 a.m. and has not been heard from since. Her friends and relatives believe that she was arrested.

Practitioner Ms. Jiang Shuying was meditating at 6 a.m. on August 30th. The deputy director of Guanli Town Police Station drove an unmarked car and led 7-8 plainclothes police officers to storm into her home. They immediately put her down on the floor and held her there. Her husband is not a practitioner and refused to cooperate with these illegal police actions. The police then handcuffed him and beat him until bruises covered his face and his back was injured. The couple had both grown up in this village. Many villagers and relatives came and argued with the police. Police called the Qixia City Department, which had ten vehicles drive over and arrest five people who are not practitioners. They are Jiang Yongzhan, Jiang Yongling, Lin Mingping, Jiang Baojing and Jiang Yongzhen. Police ransacked Ms. Jiang Shuying's home, took away Falun Gong books, two printers, one burner, two mobile phones, four electronic books, and 15,000 yuan in cash.

Mr. Chen Peimin and his wife Lin Guoling are both practitioners who live in Guandao Town. At around 6:30 a.m., on August 30th, police arrested them and ransacked their home. Police took Falun Gong books, a computer and a printer.

Practitioner Mr. Mao Yingde lives in Maojia Village, Xicheng Town, and works in an aluminum alloy business. He was arrested at around 5 a.m. on August 30th. Seven to eight officers from the police station and Qixia City Department ransacked his home, took away all his Falun Gong books, two laptops, one printer, and 26,000 yuan in cash.

Practitioner Mr. Yi and his wife Cuirong live in Daliujia Village, Shewopo Town. Plain clothed police officers arrested them at around 7 a.m. on August 30th, ransacked their home, took away a TV, a DVD, a computer, a printer and a Satellite dish.
