A group of officers from the Beijing Police Department broke into Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Xiao Xicheng's home on the morning of June 17th, arrested him and took him to the Wanshoulu Police Station in the Haidian District.

The next day, Mr. Xiao was transferred to the Haidian District Detention Centre, where he was held for more than a month. During his detention, his family didn't receive any news about him.

Finally on August 2nd, Mr. Xiao's family received a letter from the Daxing Men's Forced Labour Camp in Beijing informing them that they could visit Mr. Xiao before August 28th.

Mr. Xiao was previously arrested at work in 2008 and subjected to two years of forced labour. He was tortured and the scars from being burned at the labour camp are still visible on his body.
