Ms. Huang Shifen, a Falun Gong practitioner from Shifang City, Sichuan Province, was arrested and detained for 15 days. On April 12th, she was taken from the detention centre. Ms. Huang's current whereabouts is unknown.
On March 28th, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Ms. Huang Shifen and Ms. Liu Shenghui, a fellow practitioner (both from Tongzi Village, Nanquan Town, Shifang City) were seized and taken to the Nanquan Town Police Station. The two had been leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong in Nanyang Village, Nanquan Town. All their materials and personal items were confiscated. Ms. Liu was released at 9:30 p.m. that evening.
On April 2nd, several members of Ms. Huang's family went to visit her, but the guards did not allow them to see her.
On April 12th, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Ms. Huang's family went to the detention centre to visit her, but they were told to wait outside. About an hour later, a beige van (not a police vehicle) with a driver and another person dressed in plainclothes arrived and took her away.
To date, Ms. Huang's family still do not know her whereabouts.
