On Saturday 6th July, UK Dafa practitioners attended a carnival in Birmingham, a city in the centre of England. The practitioners demonstrated all five of the Falun Dafa exercises on stage for a large crowd and received a round of applause after they finished. They wore traditional Chinese practice suits and this attracted a lot of attention. After this demonstration, one lady immediately approached the Falun Dafa stall and asked for details of a local class. She said that she had tried different methods of qigong exercise before and would like to try Falun Dafa. Many people accepted flyers and were happy to learn more – one lady said that she was already aware of Jiang Zemin’s brutal persecution and added that such a terrible thing cannot continue for much longer.

Many people were interested in Falun Dafa - one man even learnt the exercises on the spot!

Many children were fascinated by the meditation – they could not believe how still and peaceful the practitioners looked and attempted to imitate them. Two people who showed the most interest in learning the exercises were actually stewards who were running the carnival. One learnt the exercises on the spot and told the practitioner who taught him that he would look on Falun Gong websites for further information. Another steward said that he had always been interested in Chinese tranquil exercises and meditation and had tried many different methods before. He expressed his excitement and said that he would definitely like to attend the free Falun Gong classes. Many people stopped at the stall to watch a demonstration of the beautiful exercises of Falun Dafa and left immersed in the leaflet that they had taken.
