Officers from the Qingyuanjie Police Station of Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province arrested Mr. Hua Fengxiang at his home in May 2007. The police did not tell his family where he was being taken. After arriving at the police station, Mr. Hua was transferred to the Hebei Province Brainwashing Centre.
When Mr. Hua arrived at the brainwashing centre, he kept shouting “Falun Gong is good!” Yuan Shuqian said to him, “You will no longer shout after I give you an injection.” Yuan Shuqin ordered other personnel to stuff Mr. Hua' mouth with a towel and forcibly inject him with an unknown drug. Gradually, Mr. Hua's health deteriorated. He moved slowly and had difficulty walking. His spine became distorted and his neck became stiff.
Authorities from Shijiazhuang recently went to Falun Gong practitioners' homes and threatened to send them to the brainwashing centre.
