On December 13th, practitioner Ms. Zuo Xiuwen was arrested while at home. The police broke into her home and took away her personal belongings. Three other practitioners, including an elderly lady, Ms. Liu Fengping and her daughter Ms. Wang Dan, were also arrested when they were visiting Ms. Zuo. The police involved in the arrest were Wang Xunjie, chief of the Hengtoushan Town Police Station, Huachuan County, Jiamusi City, and Dong Hongsheng and Jia You from the Domestic Security Division of the Huachuan County Police Station. The arrested practitioners were later detained in the Huachuan County Detention Centre.

On December 16th, some of the relatives of the arrested practitioners went to the Huachuan County Police Station to see them, but the police turned them away. Dong Hongsheng, chief of the National Security Team, and Ren Tiejun, the political director, called on several police officers to film the whole process. They even attempted to arrest Ms. Wang Dan's father.

On December 22nd, the relatives again went to the Hengtoushan Town Police Station to try and see them, but they were evicted from the police office by Wang Xunjie even before they could say anything. Wang said: “They were arrested by police from the city, not me. It has nothing to do with me.” In the mean time, he took out his digital camera to photograph the relatives.

Later, Dong Hongsheng, Jia You, Wang Xunjie and Shao Hongwei, from the Hengtoushan Town Police Station, arrested practitioners Mr. Wang Shuyu and his wife Ms. Zheng Guixiang. They forced them to submit their fingerprints and took their blood samples. While doing so, they filmed the whole process and extorted 5,000 yuan1 from them. They also forced them to fabricate evidence against Ms. Zuo to trump up false charges against her.

On December 25th, Dong Hongshen and his assistant Liu Liming went to the home of Ms. Wang Dan's relatives and their work place in Huanan County in an attempt to get them to make confessions against Ms. Wang and her mother. At the time, Ms. Wang was in a critical physical condition and she and her mother had been sent to the Huachuan County Hospital for force-feeding, but Dong told the relatives that they were fine.

On December 28th, the relatives were finally allowed to see Ms. Wang and her elderly mother in the Huachuan County Hospital. The practitioners had been violently force-fed. The relatives saw the blood-stained tubes that were inserted into their stomachs during the force-feeding.

On the same day, Dong Hongsheng, along with officers from the Domestic Security Division of Huanan County and the Police Department of Jiamusi City, searched Ms. Wang's office and took away her computer without showing any legal documents. They forced Ms. Wang's colleague to give a false testament that they had found three Falun Gong booklets in her office. At first, she refused to sign the document because she did not see that the police found any such booklets, and she had no idea about the source of the booklets that the police presented to her. Dong then threatened that they would arrest her. She gave in under pressure and signed the document.
