Ms. Yang Weifang was taken away in March 2010. She was sentenced to one year of forced labour and sent to Hewan Forced Labour Camp. Her family went to the labour camp on December 17th. The guards refused to let them visit Ms. Yang, saying that she behaved badly and refused to wear the prisoner's uniform. Her family was worried about her. Besides that, Ms. Yang's mother had never been allowed to visit her daughter. The guards said, “No visits from Falun Gong practitioners” and she is a Falun Gong practitioner.

Ms. Yang was sent to Hewan Forced Labour Camp at the end of May 2010 and has been resisting the brainwashing ever since. The guards tortured her by making her stand for a long time and depriving her of sleep.

Ms. Yan was employed by the Yufeng Real Estate Investment Advisory Ltd. She previously had tuberculosis and other illnesses. She had a bad temper and didn't get along with other family members. After she started practising Falun Gong in 1997, her physical health improved and the tuberculosis disappeared. She followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and became a truly good person. She was also well accepted in society.

Ms. Yang was detained several times after the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20th, 1999. She was sent to E'touwan Brainwashing Centre in the Qiaokou District in September 2005 and held there for more than two months. About eight officers from the Hanjiadun Police Station broke into her home on the night of March 29th, 2010, and took her away while she was still in pyjamas. The police also ransacked the home of Ms. Yang's mother and took the older lady to the Hanjiadun Police Station the same day.
