Mr. Wu Yuliang is a Falun Gong practitioner in Yanshan Community in the Lixia District in Jinan City, Shandong Province. When he was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the facts about Falun Gong near the Yanshan Community on July 4th, 2009, police arrested him and took him to the Liuchangshan Brainwashing Centre. Since then his whereabouts have been unknown.

Mr. Wu, 68, graduated from Shandong Normal University with a bachelor's degree. He was the Director of Teaching at the Yishui Third Middle School before he retired. Mr. Wu began to practise Falun Gong in 1997. He used to have eight illnesses, including heart disease, tracheitis, and stomach problems. All of them quickly disappeared after he began to practise Falun Gong. When the Communist regime began to persecute Falun Gong, Mr. Wu was mistreated. He was subjected to one year of forced labour in 2000.

Mr. Wu is well-known to be a good person, and he did not compete for benefits at work. One year there was a quota in his school for the National Model Worker award and he gave up the opportunity of being considered. He always maintained a high ethical standard and excellent performance at work, and he did not fight for promotion opportunities. The classes he taught were always rated excellent by both his students and colleagues, which earned him a very good reputation. Many people said he was one of the few good people in the neighbourhood and it was totally wrong for an innocent man to be sent to a forced labour camp.

Not long after Mr. Wu was sent to the Liuchangshan Brainwashing Centre, his family lost contact with him. Presently they have no idea where he is and they are very worried about him.
