Mr. Liu Tong, a Teacher from Mei County, Guangdong Province, Arrested by More Than Ten Police Officers

Liu Tong, a physics teacher at Dongshan Middle School in Mei County, Guangdong Province, received a phone call on November 25th, from a fellow Falun Gong practitioner requesting Falun Gong materials. Mr. Liu went to deliver the materials to Mei County High School at Gangzishan in Meizhou City. He was later arrested by police waiting for him. He was detained at the Detention Centre in Dapu County, Meizhou. At 5:00 p.m., a dozen policemen took him to his home at the Dongxiang Teachers' Village in Meizhou, and ransacked it. The police took pictures, confiscated his computer and other personal belongings. They were there until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Tu Qingguang, who is in his fifties, along with his wife He Qingxiang, are Falun Gong practitioners from the Eastern suburbs of Meizhou. They were arrested at 7:00 p.m. on November 22nd, while they were out. The police subsequently ransacked their home and took away their computer, printer and other property. They were detained at Qinhuang Detention Centre in Meizhou.

Ms. Li Linglian is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jiangnan, Meizhou. On November 14th, when she was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling some homeless people the facts about Falun Gong. They wanted to learn the Falun Gong exercises, so Ms. Li went home to get the exercise CDs. When she returned she was reported to the authorities and was later arrested and sent to Meijiang District Police Department. The policemen found her son's phone number through her mobile phone. On November 16th, officers from the Meijiang District Police Department went to her home and ransacked it. They confiscated her computer and printer. Ms. Li was detained at Qinhuang Detention Centre in Meizhou.
