More than a dozen officers from the Renqiu Police Department, the Chu'an Police Department, and the Chu'an Police Station climbed over a wall by using a ladder and broke into Ms. Feng Suxia's home at around 11:00 p.m. on August 25th, 2010. Wearing only underwear, Ms. Feng was taken to the Chu'an Police Department and then transferred to the Renqiu Detention Centre, where she is currently detained and on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

Ms. Fang's elderly mother-in-law died from shock and grief the day after her arrest. Ms. Feng was not allowed to return home to attend the funeral.

While in custody in the Chu'an Police Department, Ms. Feng was forced to sit on an iron chair with her hands handcuffed behind her back. When her family visited her, they saw that skin on her wrists was deeply bruised and her hands were swollen. Ms. Feng has also been persecuted in the detention centre.

Ms. Feng, 46, lives in Beicaokou Village, Renqiu City, Hebei Province. Since she started practising Falun Gong in 1998, many of her illnesses disappeared. She is well liked and highly regarded by the residents in her village.

Since the Chinese communist regime began to persecute Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999, Ms. Feng has been persecuted numerous times. When she went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong, the police took her back to Renqiu and held her for 13 days in the Renqiu Detention Centre. She was released only after Zhang Aitian from the police department extorted 5,000 yuan1 from her family.

Ms. Feng wrote to Zhang Aitian in the first half in 2004 to ask for her family's money to be returned. As a result, Du Zhongfu and six other officers from the police department arrested Ms. Feng and held her in a detention centre for several months.

Government officials have refused to meet with the family members trying to rescue Ms. Fang.
