Mr. Shi Geng Persecuted at Zhangshi Brainwashing Centre in Shenyang City

Based on orders from the Shenyang City National Security Team and the Shenhe District National Security Team, the assistant director of Doumugong Police Station in Shenhe District, Shenyang sent five officers to break into Mr. Shi Geng's home at 9:00 a.m. on September 26th. They ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books, the Falun Gong founder's portrait, and other personal property.

At 11:00 p.m. the same day, six police officers broke into Mr. Shi's home again and arrested him.

Following Mr. Shi's arrest, his parents, who are in their 70's, and other family members went to many different places to determine his whereabouts, including to the Shenyang Police Station, the Shenhe District Branch Police Station, and the National Security Team. Instead of being helped, however, they were reprimanded by the police. Each police station and office pointed them to another administration in the effort to avoid taking any responsibility.

After much effort, Mr. Shi's family finally learned that he was detained in a cell at the Doumugong Police Station. He was later transferred to the Zhangshi Brainwashing Centre in Shenyang City, where he was brutally persecuted.

At the brainwashing centre, assistant director Su Hong was ordered to directly take charge of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, in addition to the original person in charge.

Mr. Shi was previously arrested in May 2007, and subsequently framed in court and sentenced to a three-year prison term. He was brutally persecuted while in detention.

Mr. Shi has been practising Falun Gong for 12 years, and has experienced physical and mental benefits as a result. His stomach illness and other illnesses disappeared through the practice.

In May 2010, Zhao Hongtao, head of the Shenhe District's National Security Team at the time, dispatched two police officers to again harass Mr. Shi and his family.
