Police Officer Dismissed from His Position and Sent to a Brainwashing Centre for Learning Falun Gong

On July 7th, 2010, Mr. Li Jianguo of the Coal Dam Town Government, Ningxiang County, Changsha Area, was arrested by Chen Zaiqiang, a Ningxiang County 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) agent, and Mr. Zeng Ninghan from the Ningxiang County Police Station. Mr. Li was immediately taken to the Laodaohe Brainwashing Centre in Changsha City.

Mr. Li Jianguo used to be a policeman at the Ningxiang County Police Station. While following orders to persecute Falun Gong, he met many kindhearted practitioners and came to see the greatness of Falun Gong. He then learned the practice at the end of 2007.

In 2009, based on false accusations trumped up by the police, Mr. Li was arrested by Zeng Ninghan and others with the Ningxiang County Domestic Security Division, and taken to the Laodaohe Brainwashing Centre in Changsha City. He was then transferred out of the police station and worked at the Coal Dam Town Government in Ningxiang County.

People who know Mr. Li all say he is sincere, honest and kind. He was an outstanding police officer who avoided corruption before, and now he has become an even better person since practising Falun Gong.

His arrest has greatly upset his university student daughter, his wife, and his nearly 80-year-old mother. We hope that people inside and outside of China will help in his rescue.
