Officials from the Laishui County Political and Judiciary Committee, the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong), and the Police Department in Hebei Province ordered township and town-level police officers to harass practitioners in the county. Several practitioners were arrested and subjected to forced labour. Laishui County police broke into Ms. Wang Linpo's home twice in an attempt to send her to a forced labour camp. She was forced to close her small clothing store.

Chengguan Town Police Station head Li Jinpeng in Laishui County led eight officers to break into Ms. Wang Lipo's clothing store at around 3:00 p.m. on June 12th, 2010. They ransacked the store and confiscated Falun Gong books, an MP3 player, and Falun Gong informational materials. They left the store in a mess.

The officers took Ms. Wang to the Chengguan Police Station, and then to a hospital at 6:00 p.m. that same day for a physical examination. Ms. Wang was diagnosed with high blood pressure. Her husband arrived, and questioned and argued with the police. The police let him take his wife home.

Police once again surrounded Ms. Wang's clothing store at 4:00 a.m. the next day, June 13th. At her home, one officer knocked on the door at around 6:00 a.m., pretending to be someone from the neighbourhood committee. Once the door was opened, more than a dozen police officers rushed in. Police head Li Jinpeng ordered Ms. Wang to accompany them to the police department. She refused to comply, went to an inner room, and refused to open the door. The police left after more than an hour.

A group of officers from the Laishui County Police Department and from the Shiting Town Police Station also searched Mr. Liang Jianzhong's home at around 3:00 p.m. on June 12th. Only Mr. Liang's disabled wife was at home. The officers left after failing to find anything they wanted.
