According to the orders of the 610 Office [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong], the court in the East-West Lake Area of Wuhan recently gave Mr. Wang Changzheng, a local Falun Gong practitioner, a sentence of four and a half years for distributing Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution. Mr. Huang Zhiyong was sentenced to four years. The court refused to give a written judgement to the families of these Falun Gong practitioners.

Wang Changzheng and Huang Zhiyong are still locked up in the East-West Lake Area Detention Centre. They refuse to accept the judgement from the East-West Lake Area Court and are already appealing the decision. According to information from sources inside the East-West Lake Area Detention Centre, Wang Changzheng and Huang Zhiyong are on a hunger strike as a way of protest. The East-West Lake Region Detention Centre guards are force-feeding them a mixture of minced food.

On the evening of November 23th, 2009, Wang Changzheng and Huang Zhiyong and others were distributing material about Falun Gong in Yuqian Village, Dongfeng Production Brigade, Xinandu Community Subdistrict Office Region. They were then arrested by the Xinandu local police station of the East-West Lake Area Public Security Branch Office. Afterwards they were transferred to Jinghe Detention Centre in East-West Lake Area and have been locked up there ever since.

On Friday, May 21st, 2010 the East-West Lake Area Court in Wuhan, Hubei Province interrogated Wang Changzheng and Huang Zhiyong. The 610 Office, fearing the public would discover the true situation, only let the court go through the motions of a trial and only permitted one family member from each family to attend.

Officers involved in persecuting Mr. Wang and Mr. Hui:
Xinandu Police Station: Yangzhi, Dai Chijun (political instructor) Xiao Youbing, Jiang Jinbao, etc.
East-West Lake Area Procuratorate: Li Shunnian
