Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ni Cuixia was a teacher at the Xujia Elementary School in Xiyang Town, Wafangdian, Dalian City. She had been imprisoned at the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp for one year before she was released two months ago. A few days ago, she was arrested again.

On the morning of May 27th, 2010, the Political and Legal Committee of the Wafangdian government instructed the Xiyang Town Police station to arrest Ms. Ni. In two police cars, the officers went to her home and claimed that they only wanted to talk to her. They told her and a relative to get into two different cars; Ms. Ni was then taken to the local Political and Legal Committee office, while her relative was driven to the Litun Community near the committee office and told to wait.

About half an hour later, the relative's driver called policeman Qu Zhengyang. Qu said to the driver, "You can leave now. I will take her (Ms. Ni) to the Luotai Hotel (a brainwashing centre where practitioners are persecuted) in Fushun City." Her relative heard the conversation clearly because he was right beside the driver. He grabbed the driver's phone and shouted at Officer Qu, "Take her home right home! You dragged us out of our home; this is abduction!"

The police did not present any proper paperwork and have not provided the family any further information on Ms. Ni.

Officer Qu's mobile phone has been turned off whenever family members have tried to call him.

Ms. Ni was released from Masanjia Forced Labour Camp on March 27th. It was only two months later that she was taken into custody again on May 27th.

Qu Zhengyang, Xiyang Town Police Station officer: 86-13942158855 (mobile), 86-13842158855 (mobile)
