Peru: Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day in Lima

On May 13th, Falun Gong practitioners from Peru held activities in Lima, the capital of Peru, to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day.

Candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy in memory of those who were tortured to death during the persecution of Falun Gong

Practitioners gathered for group exercises at 6:00 a.m. in a local park. At 9:00 a.m., they went to Chinatown and passed out materials about the practice and the persecution. Ms. Su, a practitioner, recalled the first Falun Dafa Day in Peru. She started Peru's first exercise group in Chinatown, Lima on May 13, 2000.

At 4:00 p.m., practitioners celebrated World Falun Dafa Day in the park. They hugged each other, and sent greetings to Master Li.

That evening, practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy in memory of those who were tortured to death during the persecution.
