Officers of the Bajiao Police Station from Shijingshan District, Beijing broke into Ms. Piao Lihua's home to harass her family on April 14th, 2010.

Only Ms. Piao's cousin and her cousin's husband were at home. Her cousin is a Beijing University M.D. graduate, and her cousin's husband recently returned from his studies in the Netherlands to open his own investment company. Neither are Falun Gong practitioners. The police interrogated them and took down their phone numbers.

Ms. Piao's neighbours said that Ms. Piao has been unable to live a peaceful life for the past 13 years. She has been subjected to arrests, detention, and a forced labour term. She was also placed under surveillance, her phone was tapped, and the police once arrested her in the middle of the night. She was dragged down the stairs from the sixth floor feet first, and her clothes were almost completely stripped off in the process.

The people living in the first apartment on the first floor, and the person in charge of the third floor are believed to have been assigned to monitor Ms. Piao. Two police officers are frequently staked-out in a black taxi parked beside a bank downstairs for long periods of time.

Ms. Piao's neighbors recalled that prior to the 2001 Chinese New Year, officer Shi Zhonghai from the Bajiao Police Station broke into Ms. Piao's home in an arrest attempt.
