Ms. Wu Aihua from the Tanggu District, Tianjin was arrested on July 23rd, 2009. She was held at the Zhaojiadi Detention Centre for over five months. The Chinese Communist regime agents manipulated the court to secretly try her twice, and eventually sentenced her to three years in prison on a three-year probation. Ms. Wu returned home on January 28th, 2010.

Ms. Wu was reported as she sent Falun Gong-related messages using her mobile phone. The police were monitoring her cell phone. On July 23rd, 2009, Ms. Wu finished sending messages and met Ms. Wu Jin by chance at the entrance to the supermarket in the Tanggu District. While they were chatting, the police arrived and took them to the No. 8 Criminal Police Team in the Tangdu Police Department. The police interrogated Ms. Wu Aihua and then took her to the Tanggu Detention Centre. During a physical examination, Ms. Wu Jin was found to have severe symptoms of heart disease and high blood pressure. She was released the next day and placed under house arrest.

The same day the practitioners were arrested, the police ransacked their homes. The police confiscated computers, printers, Falun Gong books and cash. Ms. Wu Aihua refused to sign the document for her criminal detention. The next day the No. 8 Criminal Police Team officials forced her son to sign for her.

Ms. Wu was later held in detention for more than five months, and secretly tried twice. She was eventually sentenced to three years in prison on a three-year probation. She returned home on January 28th, 2010, and was ordered to write a "thought report" once a month.

Ms. Wu had suffered from a serious illness prior to practising Falun Gong. After beginning the practice, her health dramatically improved, and she became a better person by following the moral principles of the practice. Her father has been bedridden for years, and she has assisted him in all his daily needs. Her mother suffers from a brain tumour and senile dementia. Ms. Wu also takes care of her.
