Germany: Truth-clarification in Wolfsburg - the Automobile Town

June 7 is the Day of China in the automobile town of Wolfsburg, where Volkswagen Automobile Company’s headquarters is situated. As a Chinese student studying in Saxon State, I received an invitation from the Director of the Education Department of the State. Contemplating that there might be quite a few Chinese participating in this event and that I might take this opportunity to clarify the truth of Falun Gong’s persecution, I decided to sign up.

Upon my arrival, what I could see was simply a big crowd there. All of them were Chinese with black hair and a yellow skin, flocking from various high schools in this State. Through enquires, I discovered that there were more than twelve hundred people. I felt somehow uneasy because we had only three practitioners there after all. Suddenly, I was hesitating and didn’t know how to utter my first word. Moving to the entrance along with the crowd, I saw two practitioners standing there, busily giving away the materials of truth-clarification. I distributed the VCDs I brought along to the people around me immediately. With a smile on her face, the western practitioner wearing a T-shirt with Falun Dafa Chinese characters also handed the materials to the crowd. Seeing that westerners also practise Falun Gong, many people received the materials from her hands one after another.

What was unusual is that most Chinese were pleased to accept the materials offered by us, or declined with a smile. I was surprised by the scenario and deeply sensed that people really wanted to know more about Dafa. A woman who came to visit her relatives told me that she used to have family members practising Falun Gong, but they quit after the persecution began in 1999. She mentioned that although she didn’t have the guts to take the VCD back [to China], she was able to view it here and relay what she saw to her relatives and neighbours after going home. She also mentioned that she is a Buddhist and would do her best to support Falun Gong. I was really very happy to hear that. Coincidently, a high profile delegation from a province of China also participated in the activities celebrating the Day of China at invitation. It was relatively difficult for us to spread Dafa to them, as almost all of them sternly declined with a serious face. It made me sad for them from the bottom of my heart.

Throughout the activities, we got the chances to directly hand the materials about truth-clarification to the Director of the State’s Education Department, the Mayor of Wolfsburg City and the representatives of Volkswagen Automobile Company. I also contacted the officials of the Chinese embassy and talked with them about Falun Gong. Though no consensus was reached, I clearly perceived that the talk had a good effect

In the automobile town, the delegation was divided into several groups with twenty people in each. lead by tour leaders, they first had a tour of the city, and then they had free time afterwards. Hoping that we would not miss anyone who might not know the truth, we made good use of this opportunity to incessantly give away materials and VCDs to the hands of the Chinese visitors.

Finally, we went to a five-star hotel in the automobile town. We talked to the manager and provided him with some materials of truth-clarification. He was pleased to accept the materials. We deemed it necessary to clarify the truth to the employees of the hotel because it was the place where the Chinese President stayed recently.

Afterwards, I asked a fellow practitioner how he could distribute materials without any fear or nervousness on such an occasion. He said he was first ill at ease since he had never seen so many Chinese after he came to Germany. He also mentioned that his fear was gone as soon as he thought that they would be very pitiful if they couldn’t learn the truth and that he hopes to let them know as soon as possible.
