On 26 September, 2009, the Irish Service Centre for Quitting the CCP held a rally in Dublin to support 60 million Chinese people who have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organisations. A former member of European Parliament and human right activist, a representative of Falun Gong practitioners and an Irish representative of Global Service Centre for Quitting the CCP gave speeches, condemning the series of crimes committed by the CCP during the 60 years of its usurping the state power, and also called on more Chinese people to abandon the fear, to see through the nature of the CCP and to join the tide of quitting the CCP otherwise the Chinese people can not obtain the freedom they deserve.
At noon, the parade to support quitting the CCP set out, ending in a rally in front of the General Post Office. The parade featured many banners, such as “Supporting 60 Million Who have Withdrawn from the CCP”, “The CCP is not equal to China”, “the Heaven Eliminates the CCP, the Heaven blesses the China” and “Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong”.
Zhao Ming, a Falun Gong practitioner in Ireland, told his experience of being tortured with electric batons and being deprived of sleep for long periods of time in a Chinese labour camp.
Ms Ye Li from the Irish Service Centre for Quitting the CCP said in her speech, “Along with the wide spread of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, more and more Chinese people have seen through the nature of the CCP. The CCP has usurped the state power for 60 years with lies and murder. Chinese people have been hijacked by the CCP, the real great Satan in history, and have fully suffered persecution and humiliation."
