On October 1st, the 60th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party coming to power in China, a rally and parade were held to support withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organisations. Several guests gave speeches at the rally.

The parade was held after the rally. More than 600 people led by the Divine Land Marching Band went through the busiest streets in Hong Kong. The parade went for 5 hours, starting at 2 p.m. and ending at 7 p.m.

Mr. Gao Dawei, Chairman of the Service Center for Quitting the CCP, gave a speech at the rally. He said that many Chinese have realised that dissolving the CCP is the solution to many problems in China. He called upon more people to expose the evil nature of the CCP.

Si Tuhua, a well-known democracy activist, said that the CCP deceived the Chinese people before and after it came to power. He pointed out that the CCP is afraid of the people and its power is fragile. He expressed support for the movement to help people withdraw from the CCP.

Mr. Qiu Mingwei, former official from CCP newspaper People's Daily, said that the CCP is not the same as China, and being patriotic to the country is not the same as being loyal to the party. He said, "Quiting the party is the right choice. It is the people's expression of their abandoning the CCP - a demon that has brought disasters to the world."

Mr. Jia Jia encouraged people not to be afraid of the CCP and to quit it. He said, "Quitting the CCP is the best way to dissolve it and the best way to stop the CCP's persecution."

Several other people also expressed their support at the event.
