Mr. Leyvraz said the show was so fantastic that they did not feel the passage of time.

"The artists are first class, really it is fantastic," Mr. Leyvraz said, adding that show is a "high quality" performance.

"What was most impressive were the dances... because we don't know anything about the different dances of China and they are beautiful. The colour is really amazing and the culture is fantastic."

Shen Yun dancers have their training in classical Chinese dance, an ancient art form several millennia old. Shen Yun's story-based dance performances depict different themes ranging from ancient legends and folk dances to contemporary issues.

Mr. Leyvraz also commended the solo performance by the tenor, saying he had a "fantastic voice."

He said if Shen Yun returns to Geneva next year, they'll be coming to the show again and this time will bring their son as well as their nephew and his Chinese wife.

Similar to her husband, Mrs. Leyvraz was also full of praise for Shen Yun.

"It was really fantastic, as was the message at the end... both the expression of beauty and the high expression on their faces and their bodies, it was really great," she said.

Mrs. Leyvraz said she also admired the state-of-the art animated digital backdrops showing different scenes that matched the dance performance, such as celestial palaces and breathtaking landscapes.

She said she'll be going back home with the messages she saw in the show such as "inspiration."
