Ms. Wang Baoying, a practitioner in Chiping County, Shandong Province, was arrested and taken to the County Detention Centre on the evening of July 22nd, 2009. Earlier, in March, Ms. Wang's older sister, Ms. Wang Meiying, died as a result of persecution in the Forced Labour Camp in Jinan City, Shandong Province.

Ms. Wang Meiying was employed at a TV company in Chiping County, Shandong Province. On March 14th, 2009, plain clothes policemen from the Zhenxing area followed her while she was distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, and then they arrested Ms. Wang. Two days after her arrest, she was sentenced without her family's knowledge and taken to a labour camp. While at the camp, she was force-fed, which caused the failure of her right lung. Seven days after she was imprisoned in the Jinan Women's Forced Labour Camp (Shandong Provincial First Women's Labour Camp), on March 23rd, 2009, she died. Her husband, Mr. Ci Chengshui, is the deputy director of the Chiping County Finance Office. They have two children, a son who just graduated from college and a daughter who is in middle school.

The younger sister, Ms. Wang Baoying, is a resident of Hongbuzhao Village, Dulangkou Town, Chiping County, Shandong Province. Around 7 p.m. on July 22nd, 2009, Dulangkou Town's policeman arrested her and Ms. Deng Zhaohong, a resident of Cuihecun Village. They were taken to Chiping County Detention Centre that same evening.

Ms. Wang Baoying's mother, brother and sister went to the police station in Dulangkou Town to demand her release. They said, "Practitioners cultivate to become good people, where is the crime in that? Her older sister was persecuted to death. Are you trying to do the same to her?" There were many onlookers at the scene. The village police chief , Wen Xiufen, remained silent.

The next day, Ms. Wang's mother and relatives went to Chiping County Security Office and demanded the release of the two women. The policeman, Ma Ruijin in the State Security Office, told the family that they would be released in a few days. Although a few days have passed, Ms. Wang and Ms. Deng remain detained.
