Mr. Sun Xiaojun is a 32-year-old Falun Gong practitioner who resides in Fuyang City, Zhejiang Province. On numerous occasions, he was detained, sent to forced labour camps and sentenced to imprisonment. He most recently suffered severe persecution, including torture, at Zhejiang Province No. 4 Prison in Linping City. He is now in critical condition and cannot take care of himself.

On June 5th, 2007, personnel from the Fuyang City 610 Office1, the City Police Department and the Zhejiang Province Police Department officers arrested Mr. Sun Xiaojun while he was working. They incarcerated him at the Fuyang City Detention Centre. Sun Xiaojun was sentenced to four and a half years of imprisonment on January 17th, 2008. Prior to this, Sun Xiaojun was detained at a labour camp for two years.

Sun Xiaojun was incarcerated at Zhejiang Province No. 4 Prison in Linping City on May 14th, 2008. He suffered tortures for over a year and had since been incarcerated at the prison hospital. He used to be a healthy young man weighing about 65 kg (140 1bs.), but he had been persecuted to such a state that he is emaciated and weighs only about 35 kg (80 lbs).

Sun Xiaojun's family members attempted numerous times to post bail for his release on medical grounds, but the guards at Linping City No. 4 Prison refused. In the end, in order to shun responsibility, they finally released him on April 16th, 2009. However in just a few days, the police once again forcibly took him away. They incarcerated him in the No. 6 People's Hospital in Zhejiang Province, where they injected him with unknown drugs every day. This caused him to suffer mental problems as well as incontinence.

His family members requested that Mr. Sun be discharged from the hospital, but officers from the Zhejiang Province Police Department prevented his discharge. They even requested the doctors to use various excuses to retain Sun Xiaojun in the hospital. Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel said to the doctor, "If he returned home and got into contact with other practitioners, what are we to do?" The doctor said, "He cannot even take care of himself and is incontinent. He does not even have the strength to talk. He only has one breath left and is skin and bones. How can he go and get into contact with others?"

The CCP personnel knew that Sun Xiaojun was dying, and thus agreed for this family members to take him home. Sun Xiaojun finally went home on June 30th, 2009. He cannot eat anything and is still incontinent. His words are incomprehensible and he has to be taken care of by his mother day and night.

Mr. Sun Xiaojun was a sickly person before he started practising Falun Gong. After taking up the practice, he became healthy. On July 20th, 2009 when the persecution of Falun Gong began, Sun Xiaojun went to Beijing to appeal for justice. When he was appealing for Falun Gong on Tiananmen Square, he was arrested by plain-clothes policemen. He was incarcerated at the Tiananmen Police Station and was subsequently incarcerated at the Fuyang City Detention Centre by personnel from the Fuyang City Police Department and 610 Office.

On July 24th, 2000, Sun Xiaojun was given two years of forced labour by the Fuyang City Police Department, 610 Office, Procuratorate and Judicial Bureau. He was incarcerated at the Jinhua City Men's Forced Labour Camp. Under torture, he wrote the so-called "transformation2" letter against his will. When Sun Xiaojun went home, he realized his mistake and made a declaration that his "transformation" letter was void.
