Mr. Lu Zhaoxin, 59, lived in Sifangtai Village, Dasiping Town, Xinbin County, in Fushun City of Liaoning Province. His tuberculosis disappeared after practising Falun Gong, and his moral character improved from the following Falun Gong's teachings on how to become a better person. He made every effort to share his experience and help others see through the regime's slanderous propaganda, but doing so led to his arrest and detention in Wujiabao Forced Labour Camp in Fushun City three times.

Around April 25th, 2006, he was arrested while getting out of a vehicle at the Sifangtai Village Station. Officer Zhao Yajun and others took him into custody in the Dasiping Town Police Department then forcibly took him to the Luotaishanzhuang Brainwashing Centre and later to the Wujiabao Forced Labour Camp, after the brainwashing failed.

The last time he was arrested was on September 24th, 2007, when local officer Zhao Yajun found him carrying Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution on a bus and arrested him and took him to the police department. He was subsequently sent to the Wujiabao Forced Labour Camp. He was released in the spring of 2008. Due to being tortured severely in the labour camp, he became extremely weak and emaciated, lost his ability to work, and developed diabetes. He died on June 24th, 2009.
