Mr. Zhang Guosheng, Mr. Shao Yunhai, Mr. Jin Dezhu, Mr. Li Wenzhe, Mr. Jiang Jianfeng, and others practitioners from Jilin Province have been brutally tortured at the Yinmahe Forced Labour Camp in Jiutai City, Jilin Province, simply because they persisted in practising Falun Gong. Below are a few eyewitness accounts of what happened to them.

When Mr. Zhang Guosheng from Jiaohe County, Jilin Province first entered the labour camp on April 29th, 2008, he was subjected to various forms of torture including electric shock, being hung up by the handcuffs, and severe beatings by multiple people for long periods of time.

When the guards got tired from beating Mr. Zhang, they asked criminal inmates Huo Lei from Harbin City, Dong Ruifeng from Yushu City, Huang Guojun from Xinzhan Township, Fuyu County, Sun Shuyou from Dehui City, and Xiao Guangliang to beat him.

One day when Mr. Shao Yunhai from Wangqing County and Mr. Jin Dezhu1 from Yanji City were being persecuted, Mr. Zhang shouted, "Falun Gong is good! and "Do not persecute Falun Gong practitioners!" After the guards brutally beat Mr. Zhang for shouting these words, they took Mr. Shao into a room and ordered several inmates to beat him non-stop. After the beatings, the inmates then took turns watching Mr. Zhang to ensure that he did not fall asleep.

One evening, chief Zhao Yunfu of the "Strictly Disciplined Team" asked several inmates to help force steadfast practitioners to give up their beliefs, starting with Mr. Shao. Two inmates brutally attacked Mr. Shao for more than six hours, using their knees, elbows, and fists to strike him repeatedly. Director Shi Qiang saw everything that was going on, yet he did not bother to intervene.

Mr. Li Wenzhe from Yanbian Prefecture was imprisoned at the labour camp's First Team in December 2007. Since he was imprisoned for practising Falun Gong, he refused to put on the prison uniform or allow the guards to shave his head.

Jiang Min, chief Zhao Jiusheng, senior chief Zhang, cadre Chen, and five or six guards took Mr. Li into an empty office, and then began beating him without restraint. The aluminium mug that they used to strike him was dented all over. After suffering cuts and bruises all over his body, Mr. Li finally lost consciousness.

When the guards, inmates, and prison officials began slandering Falun Gong at the prison's New Year's Party, Mr. Li shouted, "Falun Gong is good!" He was quickly dragged outside and beaten to the point that he had a large bump on his forehead, his eyes were swollen shut, and his face bore a shoe imprint from having been kicked.

Mr. Li was then taken to the "Strictly Disciplined Team", where the guards continued to beat him. The guards from the First Team thought that the "Strictly Disciplined Team" had not persecuted Mr. Li sufficiently, so they ordered several inmates to beat Mr. Li again. When Zhang Guoxin, chief of the Management Section, saw the guards beating up Mr. Li, he chose not to intervene.

Mr. Jiang Jianfeng, a petroleum worker from Songyuan City, Jilin Province, was taken to the Yinmahe Forced Labour Camp in December 2007. As soon as he entered the camp, he was beaten by several guards and then later tortured for extended periods of time. Mr. Jiang was forced to sit on a backless stool, hung up by handcuffs, and shocked with electric batons. One day he was beaten so badly that he could not walk.

The above mentioned eyewitness accounts are only a partial list of the crimes committed at the Yinmahe Forced Labour Camp. Here we appeal to all kind people of the world to pay attention to the Chinese Communist Party's brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Let's work together to stop this inhumanity!
