Tainan, TAIWAN - Divine Performing Arts (DPA) drew many dance professionals to its show at the Tainan Municipal Cultural Centre on February 21st, 2009. Many in the audience were amazed by the DPA's superior performance.

Chief Inspector of Art Group: A Model Performance

Ms. Wang Lijuan, Chief inspector of the Tainan Folk Dance Company and founder of the DiDi Dance Theatre, thought the DPA's performance was very professional and gave people a great opportunity to understand the essence of Chinese classical dance. In her mind, the DPA artists have taught dance professionals in Tainan a great deal. Ms. Wang specialises in folk and ethnic dances. One thing that stood out in her mind was that the DPA performers' bringing a combination of Chinese classical and modern dance to the stage would be a great model for children learning modern dance.

Professional Dancer: The Performance Is Full of Food For Thought

Ms. Xie Yinting

Xie Yinting has been a dancer for the past 16 years. She is currently the director and a teacher of the Anchi Art Dance Group. She was vastly impressed by the first scene, "The Five Millennia Begin" and said, "Everything from the artists' graceful movements, their great skill, to the backdrop and the costumes made me feel the celestial maidens were actually on earth. I am impressed with all I saw. The entire show has a lot to teach."

Specialist of Music and Dance: Very Artistic

Xiao Xiaoling is a teacher of the famous Songjiang Battle Array and is also an advisor to the gifted music class in Kaohsiung. She was deeply impressed with the DPA performance because it was so 'artistic.' She felt that the artists were very well trained and the composers and choreographers were highly professional. She said she could understand what the performance was trying to convey without having read the captions. She also was dazzled by the costumes.

Dance Teacher: Can't Find a Better Performance

Lin Jinhua has been teaching dance classes for 15 years, and she specialises in ethnic and aboriginal dance in Taiwan. She also was impressed with the DPA performance and said that it was completely different from what she had learned and seen. The costumes and dances gave her great inspiration, and she said that she would share with her students what she had learned from the show.

Lin said that watching the DPA's show calmed her. She believes that the show could be a great way to purify society.

She choreographed a fan dance recently. After seeing the DPA's fan dance, she thought that she still had a lot to learn. Before leaving, she shared that she couldn't find a better performance than the DPA in Taiwan.

Community Dance Teacher: So Exciting

Li Xiubo is the chief officer at the Anping Cultural and Education Foundation and a community dance teacher. The show deeply impressed her and brought tears to her eyes. She said that she could see the artists were genuine with every movement and that it required great skill. She wished that the show would never end.

Li believes she still has a lot to learn after seeing the DPA's show and that she benefited tremendously as a dance teacher.

"Everyone knows dancing requires strenuous practice. I felt like I must do well in what I do. If I want to continue teaching, I should set my goal to dance like the DPA's artists. I will tell my friends that they must see this show."
