On the night of May 17, around 11:00 p.m., another practitioner was persecuted to death in Weifang City. Her name is unknown, but she was 26 years old and from Gaomi District in Weifang. She was sent to the internal medicine department of the Second People's Hospital, room 6, for emergency rescue on May 15, when she was tortured to the point of barely being able to breathe after being detained by Weifang Police Department for five and a half months. She was handcuffed even during the proceedings of the emergency rescue, with several police guarding the room. People from the investigation bureau and the court came to investigate the situation. A judge questioned a policeman why they would still not let her go after having tortured her to such a state.

Her husband was being jailed also. Her family members, including her parents and grandparents, were extremely angry with the police when they saw what they had done to her. There were 8 to 9 plainclothes policemen inside the hospital gate at 10 p.m. on the 17th. The courtyard was filled with police cars, including Santana cars with license numbers Lu1155Police, Lu0640Police, a van with license numberLu1072Police, and some others with markings of the investigation bureau.

Cao Guifang, 61, a female practitioner working at Weifang Distribution, Storage, and Shipping Company, was hit and killed at around 9 p.m. on April 26, 2002 by Wang Aizhi, the deputy chief of the Nanguan Police Station at Weicheng District, and Yu Mingchun, a member of the guard squadron, driving a police van with no license plate. The incident happened on the east side of the road about 300 meters south of the Nantou Railway overpass on Qingnian Road in Weicheng, which was under the jurisdiction of the Nanguan Police Station. Eyewitnesses said that the woman was walking properly and the police van came and hit her, causing her to spit up blood. After the incident the driver reported it as a traffic accident. A traffic policeman, Zhang Yongjie, from the accident investigation section of the traffic police department came right away. He asked questions and took measurements at the scene. They took the injured person to the Municipal Hospital (Chen Zixiu, a female Dafa practitioner who was tortured to death long ago, was also once sent to this hospital). Because the CT machine there was not working, she was then sent to the Weifang Medical School Hospital. She died there three hours later.

The traffic police department still will not investigate the cause of this accident. The head of the accident investigation section has been replaced with a new person whose last name is Zhao. The police station was originally quite tough in their dealing with the matter, saying that the driver was from other places and did not belong to the police station. Later they changed their attitude when they found that the family members of the dead were adamant in demanding the identification of the responsible parties. The driver who caused the accident has still not been arrested. The inside story has it that the accident was caused by the drunk driving of the deputy chief of the police station, Wang Aizhi (Telephone number: 86-536 83952269).
