Note: The following is a shortened version of a longer and more detailed article that appeared on the minghui.ca website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net).

Ms. Bao Siqin-Gaowa, 31 years old, was a top student in the Physics Department of Heilongjiang University. Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong, Gaowa has become a key target for persecution by agents of the Baokang Police Department. During the past nine years, Gaowa was arrested four times, and was sentenced to forced labour twice.

While being held in forced labour camps, the guards tortured Gaowa so brutally that it led to the relapse of her heart disease.

November 4th, 2008, was the planned release date for Gaowa, but authorities of the Tongliao City and Baokang Police Department extended her labour camp term by one and a half years.
