The opening of the International "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" Art Exhibition was held in Toufen Town, Miaoli, Taiwan on November 15th, 2008. Many local council members, government officials, and the mayor of Miaoli attended the opening.

Prior to the opening ceremony, local Falun Gong practitioners held a parade. The Divine Land Marching Band led the drum and flag team and fairy lady dance team, performing in the parade. Practitioners also demonstrated the exercises.
The practitioners also performed for guests at the opening ceremony/press conference. Many guests, including the city council members, expressed that the artworks can purify people's hearts and that Falun Gong practitioners' spirits manifested by the artworks are powerful.
Artist Ms. Chou Yihsiu introduced the stories behind the artworks to the guests. She said all the artists practice Falun Gong. Their spirits have been improved during cultivation, and their works clarify the truth of Falun Gong and expose the brutality of the persecution. "Every story behind the paintings is touching," she said.
