Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Kaibi, from Guanyuan City, Cangxi County, Sichuan Province, was arrested by people from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and sent to the Nanmusi Forced Labour Camp in Zizhong in January, 2007. She became disoriented and developed problems during her incarceration. She still often feels dizzy, her memory is very bad, and her eyes feel pressure.

Ms. Wang Kaibi was falsely charged by the village director Liu Zhaoping, Captain Liu Zhaocai, Captain Ho Wengang and Ho Wenzeng in Longwang Town of Cangxi County. A dozen people, including Zhao Yun of the town's police station and county police department, Ho Xiangyu and Dong Dexian of the 610 Office1, and members of the county national security office led by Wuqiang ransacked Wang's home, arrested her, detained her at the Jiuquxi Hotel, and held her there for a week.

During her detention, the authorities subjected Ms. Wang to sleep deprivation, struck her in the head, kicked her, and stomped on her legs. Seven to eight people took turns torturing her. Zhao Yun, Ho Xiangyu, Dong Dexian and others all beat her. They tore up the founder of Falun Gong, Teacher Li Hongzhi's picture, forced her to swallow it, and laid a Falun Gong book on the ground and forced her to step and sit on it. Wang vehemently resisted.

Ms. Wang was later transferred to the county jail, where the persecution escalated. The food was substandard and insufficient, so she was soon starving. She was forced to wear a jail uniform, for which she was charged 50 yuan2 per month. The local CCP and 610 Office personnel sentenced Ms. Wang to one year of forced labour at the Nanmusi Forced Labour Camp in Zizhong County. The guards hit her head hard and pulled out her hair, eventually causing her to become mentally disoriented.

Ms. Wang was first put in the Seventh Team, where guard Duan Yuanyuan slapped her, hit her in the mouth, and frequently threatened her. Guard Jiang Nan stomped on her feet and forced her to march in military style. During this period, Ms. Wang became emaciated and mentally confused. Later she was moved to the Fourth Team, where guard Fang Xiaoqing directed many of the criminal inmates to beat her. They hit her all over her body, including her eyes, and dragged her to the ground. They pulled her into the toilet, where they beat her and stripped her to humiliate her. They also poured hot and cold water over her. In a particularly brutal torture session, two groups of people grabbed her by the arms and pulled in opposite directions, while another person kicked her in the stomach and chest. She almost passed out from the excruciating pain.

Ms. Wang was later put into a solitary confinement cell that was less than two square meters in size. The guard ordered someone from the People's Administration Committee to force-feed her with a white drug, which prevented her from swallowing for over twenty days. She became critically ill and was taken to a hospital, where she vomited blood and fluids with lumps in it that filled two small containers. Li Jingxing and Wang Liping used a clothes-hanger to pry her mouth open, causing it to bleed. They also pulled out her hair and kicked her.

Due to these barbaric tortures, Wang's mental condition deteriorated, although this didn't stop them from continuing her torture. When she was finally released from the camp, Ms. Wang had to stay in the hospital for over forty days, and she had trouble eating during her entire stay there.
