Russia: Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference in St. Petersburg

On October 17th, 2008, a Falun Gong Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference was held at a conference centre in St. Petersburg. Falun Gong practitioners from across Russia, Ukraine and other former soviet countries shared their cultivation experiences and discussed the benefits they had experienced through the practice.

Arksana from Wushan talked about how she looked inward during conflicts. She said that when she encountered conflicts at work, in the beginning she could not look past the rights and wrongs of things on the surface. She believed that she did not make any mistake and felt that she was wronged. But when she calmed down to look inward on every single thought, she found a lot of attachments. Hence she realised the importance of looking inward during each conflict.

Practitioners from St. Petersburg shared their experience of protesting in front of the Chinese Consulate since 2004. Each practitioner talked about his or her various encounters and feelings, including the difficulty in saving people and Master’s benevolence, etc. Some Chinese people asked how much they could earn by being there each day. When they were told calmly that everyone went there voluntarily with the only hope that people could learn the truth, many were surprised or touched. During this process, practitioners also encountered pressure from the Russian police who did not know the truth. After coordinated efforts to clarify the truth, many policemen who learned the truth no longer interfered with practitioners. They would even help.

Practitioners also talked about what they had learned in the process of doing the three things well. Many practitioners said that they saw their own shortcomings through the Fa conference, which they hoped to use as an opportunity to be more diligent in the future and do the three things better.

Before the Fa conference was over, practitioners studied Master’s most recent lecture together. Some practitioners recalled their experiences of seeing their Master. Everyone was grateful for Master’s benevolence and his concern for Russia. The Fa conference finished at 7pm.
