On August 3rd, 2008, over 20 policemen from the Public Security Bureau in Wucheng County broke into Falun Gong practitioner Qin Baoli's home in Jiangguantun Village. They searched Mr. Qin's house and confiscated his property. It was in shambles when they left. They even took a ladder and climbed up to the rooftop and damaged the roof. In the end, the police took a computer, a printer, and some other personal effects, filling up a car.

Later, the police arrested Mr. Qin and his wife. Mr. Qin's wife was so terrified that she had a heart attack and had to lie down on the floor. The officials tried forcing an unknown drug into her mouth, but she refused to take it. The police did not care if she died from the heart attack, and sent Mr. Qin to the Wucheng Detention Centre.

Qin Baoli has practised Falun Gong for ten years, greatly benefiting from it. In a car accident, he suffered compound fractures and multiple breaks from the waist down. The doctor said he was incurable. However, Mr. Qin continued to practice Falun Gong. Only six months later, he had fully recovered without any setbacks or lingering effects. He personally experienced the miracle of Falun Gong and was very grateful for the amazing grace of Falun Gong in saving his life. Through witnessing this miracle, his neighbours and relatives were all convinced of the goodness of Falun Gong.

In 2001, Qin Baoli was sent to a forced brainwashing centre, where he was severely injured mentally. He also had large sums of money extorted from him. His family went heavily into debt due to the car accident and as a result of being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party. His daughter, who should have been studying in junior high school, had to suspend her studies and look for a job. She was only 15.
