Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Gui Youyun from Hengyang City, Hunan Province has been arrested and detained in the Hengyang Detention Centre. The guards at the detention centre injected an unknown drug into her body, which has made her critically ill.

At the end of May 2008, using the excuse of preparing for the Olympic Games, police from the 610 Office1 of the Zhuhui Area in Hengyang City, Hunan Province arrested elderly practitioner Ms. Gui Youyun and sent her to the Hengyang Detention Centre.

Ms. Gui refused to give up her belief in Falun Gong and went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The guards at the detention centre forcibly pried open Ms. Gui Youyun's mouth and fed her a large amount of concentrated salt water. As a result, Ms. Gui's teeth fell out and a great amount of blood gushed out of her mouth.

Since the guards saw the torture had no effect on Ms. Gui Youyun, they started to inject unknown drugs into her body. Ms. Gui has become mentally unstable and critically ill. Her family begged the guards to release her, but the guards refused with all kinds of excuses and shouted, "If she dies, no one will be liable for her death!"
