At about 10:00 p.m. on June 4th, 2008, Ms. Wang Changping, a practitioner from Dongmafang Area, Yingcheng City, went to the Gepu Police Station located in Yumeng County to request the release of two female practitioners. Huang Weidong (male) of Gepu Police Station and Nie Yaoshan (male) and He Zhongping (male), both officers with the Dongmafang Police Station, forced her into a police car. She was detained at Dongmafang Police Station for more than two hours. During this time, the police prohibited her family from seeing her and also beat them.

At about 10:00 a.m. on June 5th, 2008, Ms. Gao Wenxia, Ms. Li Yuling, and another female practitioner visited Dongmafang Police Station to ask for the release of Ms. Wang. As a result, the three were detained for more than an hour by police officers Zhou Weipeng (male) and He Zhongping. Officer Huang Guoying (female) conducted body searches of all three practitioners. Their money, mobile phones, and other personal belongings were seized without receipts provided. At about 11:00 a.m. the same day, the three were forced into a police car and taken to the No. 2 Detention Centre in Yingcheng City.

One of the three practitioners brutally beaten by Zhou Weipeng was the wife of Mr. Wan Jixiang, a civil servant of the Dongmafang Branch of Industry and Commerce Bureau in Yingcheng City. He was persecuted to death on May 24th, 2005, for practising Falun Gong. Under tremendous pressure due to the persecution of her family, their daughter is still planning to take her college entrance examination this year.

As of now, six practitioners from Dongmafang area have been arrested.
