On June 5 2008, Falun Gong practitioners held a rally in front of the Chinese Consulate to protest and condemn the CCP for inciting hatred among overseas Chinese and instigating local thugs to attack Falun Gong practitioners in Flushing, New York. They also expressed support of the righteous actions of the volunteers of the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP in Flushing. Falun Gong practitioners in Australia, holding banners in the rain, looked solemn in front of the Chinese Consulate.

Ms. Zhao, the host of the rally and President of the Falun Dafa Association in New South Wales, said the audio recording of Chinese Consul General Peng Keyu bragging about his role in inciting the violence, proved the attack and harassment of volunteers of the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP in Flushing was a plot by the Chinese Consulate. Similar harassment has taken place in Sydney. Australian practitioners gathered here today to condemn the CCP's interference with the freedom of religion and speech in a free country and to protest against its extending the hatred and persecution overseas.

Spokesperson for the New South Wales Falun Dafa Association, Mr. John Deller, said six pro-CCP thugs had been arrested. Falun Gong practitioners continued to peacefully call for an end to human rights violations by the CCP. He said the incident was not an isolated one, but a new round of planned persecution. He warned the Chinese Consulate in Sydney not to incite hatred toward Falun Gong practitioners in Australia.

Mr. Lu Zhenlei, a representative of the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP, called on the US and other democratic countries to investigate the incident in Flushing and find the manipulators behind it. He also called for the Chinese people to distinguish between right and the wrong, quit the CCP and disintegrate it.

Ms. Liu Jie, a volunteer at the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP, said some thugs paid by the CCP attacked Falun Gong practitioners at the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP in Sydney not too long ago. She thought it wasn't a coincidence.

At the end of the rally, Ms. Zhao condemned the CCP for extending the persecution to free countries and using the earthquake in Sichuan as a pretext to frame Falun Gong. She called on the Chinese people not to be deceived by the CCP's lies and not to become victims of its hate propaganda.
