The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has instigated its spies and mobsters to continuously besiege and beat volunteers working at the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP in Flushing, New York since May 17, 2008, in an attempt to drive the service centre out of Flushing. To protect the safety of volunteers working at the centre, local police temporarily moved the service centre from in front of the Flushing Public Library to behind the library. On June 3, with support from local people and the police department, and with police protection, the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP returned to the front of the Flushing Public Library, and at the same time, four additional service centres for quitting the CCP were set up in Flushing, where are already attracting many people.

Service Centre for Quitting the CCP Returns to the Front of the Flushing Library

At 10:00 a.m. on June 3, 2008, banners were once again displayed in front of the Flushing Public Library bearing the messages, "Heaven will Eliminate the CCP, Quit the CCP for Your Own Safety," "Follow the Celestial Phenomena, Quit the Evil Party to Save Yourself," by the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP. Local people welcomed the service centre back again and expressed their support. More than twenty police officers came to the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP in the early morning, and have maintained a presence, with a police van parked nearby. A police officer at the location said that their task is to protect Falun Gong practitioners from outside intruders.

The co-ordinator for the New York Service Centre for Quitting the CCP, and Vice President of the Global Service Centre for Quitting the CCP, Ms. Yi Rong, said that from today on, the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP in front of the Flushing Public Library is resuming its normal operation. At the same time, in order to meet more and more requests for quitting the CCP and its affiliated organisations, and to better provide information for people who want to quit the CCP organisations and learn about the facts, four more service centres for quitting the CCP have been set up in Flushing.

According to Ms. Yi Rong, after the CCP mobsters beat Falun Gong practitioners on May 17, the police designated a place behind the Flushing Library to relocate the service centre, in order to ensure the safety of volunteers. From then on, the CCP has continued organising students and people from the Chinese community to harass and shout verbal abuses opposite the Service Centre. When the police questioned their identities, they dared not admit them, so the police drove them away. In the following days, they were unable to form a mob, and were continually dispersed by the police. Yi Rong stressed that the five service centres for quitting the CCP are all under the police protection.

She said, "Service Centres for Quitting the CCP symbolise suffocating the CCP's evilness, exposing the CCP's tyranny, and inspiring people's righteous morale. Falun Gong practitioners have been here for four years, and will continue being here to encourage people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organisations, and do things that are good for people."

Ms. Yi Rong pointed out that through the Flushing incidents, the practitioners have become even more confident, and that in the near future, the entire society will learn of the CCP's evil nature, and will launch a grand tide of opposition to the persecution and evil.

People Pleased to See the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP Resume Its Normal Operation

A staff member from the Flushing Public Library expressed his pleasure and welcomed the resumption of the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP. He said, "Falun Gong [practitioners] have been here several years. In the beginning, not many people paid attention to it, and then more and more people focused their attention on it, and the Communist Party might be afraid." He said that he believed that the Communist Party was manipulating the Flushing incident, otherwise the mobsters would dare not run rampant to such an extent.

A lady surnamed Chen from Fuzhou City came to the Service Centre on the morning of June 3. She said that she had not seen this Service Centre for Quitting the CCP before, and she was very happy to see it, as she came to quit the Communist Youth League. She also asked the staff at the Service Centre how to learn Falun Gong. She obtained the information about a practice site and left satisfied.

A beautician in her forties who came to the US from Fujian Province five years ago told the reporter that she felt safe since the operation of the service centre was resumed. She said, "Those attackers did not look like good people, they may all have some background in the Mafia. If they make trouble, they are a threat to every one of us. Recently they created so much trouble that everyone was alarmed and in a panic. Falun Gong practitioners are so brave, taking this opportunity to clean out these evil's dens, which will benefit everyone."

Westerners also paid attention to the resumption of the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP in front of the Flushing Public Library. American engineer Oscar Vanegas, who has been living here for 35 years, told the reporter that he was glad to see the service centre return to the front of the Flushing Library after having gone through days of being harassed and assaulted.

He said the US is a free country, and everyone has the right to express themselves freely, as well as freedom of belief, which should not be interfered with. Foreign governments certainly don't have the right to harass in this country, especially using violence.

He called on the US government to use the lever of the economy and politics to pressure the CCP, and stop the CCP from doing evil in the land of the US

"Spies are at their wit's end"

In the previous days, the CCP spies who have participated in making trouble walked around nearby, but dared not walk closer to the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP, and only snooped around in the distance. Two women wearing sunglasses stood beside the service centre at the beginning, and said to each other, "When will people from the [Chinese] consulate come?" After a while, one of them said, "We'd better stay away from here, otherwise our photos will be taken." They then stood at a distance. When Falun Gong practitioners handed out newspapers, one of them said, "Give me $200, and I'll take it."

Not long ago, some spies walked around near the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP, and when someone took The Epoch Times newspaper or information about Falun Gong, they would threaten the person. Some people were so afraid that they dared not take the newspaper. Today many people were taking newspapers, and were no longer frightened as they had been a few days prior. Volunteers at the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP said that they saw the spies wanting to create trouble, but they dared not do so, and it seemed that they were restrained. They no longer ran rampant as they did in the previous days.

Some people told volunteers at the service centre and those who delivered The Epoch Times newspaper: "You have lived up to 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance'. The spies were at their wit's end!"

More and More People Openly Support Falun Gong

Ms. Dong is a volunteer at the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP. She told the reporter that a young woman in her twenties whispered in her ear, "Falun Dafa is good!"

A gentleman in his fifties told the volunteers, "You must keep up the good work."

Another volunteer at the service centre, Ms. Wu, told the reporter that she had received much support from ordinary people in Flushing. Some people told her, "They beat you, but you still wore a smile on your face. We all saw your tolerance and kindness. We support you."

Some people told Falun Gong practitioners, "You did quite well. We are happy to see you every day. We support you." "Many people told Falun Gong practitioners, 'Thank you!'"

Righteousness Once Again Conquers Evil, Thanks to New York People and Police

Mr. Gao Dawei, co-ordinator for the Global Service Centre for Quitting the CCP, said that he was pleased that the Flushing service centre in New York resumed normal operations, and four more service centres were set up. He said, "This service centre for quitting the CCP has been operating for four years. The CCP instigated this incident, in an attempt to drive the service centre out of Flushing. But this incident exposed the CCP's shameful behaviour, the CCP's plot did not succeed. On the contrary, its arrogance suffered a heavy blow. The service centre now flourishes even more, and righteousness once again conquers evil."

He pointed out that the CCP mobsters beat volunteers at the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP, and this incident has gained great attention among American politicians, the FBI, police departments and other security organisations, and they are undertaking investigations and collecting evidence. Local police and people have gained a deeper understanding of how the CCP incites hatred and exports violence. Local people stood up to condemn the CCP mob, and know that the perpetrators will face punishment or even be expelled from the US.

Mr. Gao Dawei expressed his gratitude to the New York Police Department and the people of New York. He said that the police not only protect the safety of volunteers at the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP, and the peace and stability of the Flushing community, but also safeguard the foundation on which the US was built and the international community's universal values. Their righteous support for Falun Gong practitioners has profound significance.
