Ukraine: Practitioners Celebrate Falun Dafa Day

May 13th 2008 was the ninth anniversary of World Falun Dafa Day. It is also the 16th anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the public by Mr.Li Hongzi. Falun Gong practitioners around the Ukraine campaigned to celebrate this magnificent day. Falun Dafa is deeply rooted in the minds of the people in Ukraine.

In order to celebrate this special day, Falun Gong practitioners in the capital of Ukraine began to practise Chinese waist-drumming on weekends one month ago. On the day, people walking by were attracted by the waist-drum team, the demonstration of the exercises and making paper lotus flowers.

While practitioners were practicing the second exercise, they heard a man cheering Falun Gong, then, he said to a lady beside him, “Falun Gong is an excellent exercise, with a great number of people practising around the world, but its being persecuted in China…”The man went toward the subway station and meanwhile talked to the lady about the truths of Falun Gong that he knew.

When practitioners in eastern Ukraine held campaigns in Donetsk City, a young guy came and said he has watched the news on TV several times about the persecutions of Falun Gong committed by the CCP. He felt extremely sad when he saw Falun Gong practitioners in China suffering such cruel persecutions. Then, he signed his own name in the signature book.

After learning about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China, a lady surprisingly said, “I cannot understand why such a peaceful exercise is being persecuted.” This lady said she wish to stop the persecutions as early as possible.
