Germany: Celebrating Falun Dafa Day in Munich

On May 13th 2008, Falun Gong practitioners in the state of Bavaria held activities in Marienplatz Square in the capital Munich, celebrating the birthday of Falun Gong's founder as well as World Falun Dafa Day.

Marienplatz Square is located in the centre of Munich. The May weather was very beautiful and the square was very crowded. Many people were attracted to the beautiful Falun Gong music and exercise demonstration. They came to read posters displaying the spread of Falun Gong around the world and the Chinese Communist regime’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong. After learning the truth, many people signed the petition calling for the end to the persecution. There were also many tourists from Mainland China. Some of them took photos, some came to take Falun Gong leaflets and the “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party”, and some even announced their withdrawals from the membership of Communist Party.

Renate said: "I started to practise Falun Gong in 2003 and to read Zhuan Falun in 2004. After practising Falun Gong, my physical and spiritual wellbeing changed significantly. Falun Dafa helped me in various aspects. I had serious physical problems before. They are all gone. In dealing with other people as well as many other aspects, I felt much change and improvement. I come to the Falun Dafa Day today so that I can introduce the beauty of Falun Dafa to more German people. I also want to tell people the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist regime. I hope more people from Mainland China can see the true nature of the persecution of Falun Gong and stand up to oppose this persecution so that China would have a beautiful future.”
