Recently in Haicheng city, Liaoning province, a 12 year-old girl named Yang Yang disappeared after her mother was kidnapped by the police.

In a massive dragnet operation between March and April 2002, the City's police searched every household in the city for Falun Gong practitioners, and forced many practitioners to become homeless.

12-year-old Yang Yang had been living with her mother since her parents divorced early in her childhood. Even though Yang Yang is very young, her steadfastness and understanding of Dafa is really admirable. The last time the mother and daughter were together was when they were distributing truth-clarifying materials. They were observed and reported on. Yang Yang's mother was detained but she herself escaped with the help of some kind-hearted people.

Yang Yang became homeless.

She was very worried about her mother being tortured in jail. Her relatives put together some money to have her mother released from detention, but within 40 minutes of her release, another group of police officers came and took her away again! This time they left no trail.

Following this betrayal not only has the mother disappeared, but Yang Yang also is nowhere to be found. It has been said that Haicheng policemen torture Dafa practitioners very severely.

Practitioners are followed and kept under close surveillance. Around April 19th, twelve Dafa practitioners who lived outside Haicheng were kidnapped. At present, the whereabouts of these innocent people are unknown.

We are here hoping that those of goodwill both at home and abroad can offer their help.
